Ankle

Went to get my lab work this morning, then went back this afternoon for my doctor's appointment.  The lab work came out pretty good with the A1C test showing 6.9 and that's with no meds.  Cholesterol is still high.  I've got to get my med cabinet in a different order.  I'm not taking the cholesterol med enough.  Its the last one I take at night and is sometimes forgotten.  Blood pressure is too high, but I think the stress of the ankle and getting 4 hours' sleep the last two nights are the reasons for it.  He looked at my ankle and said there's no sign of infection or mrsa.  That's great news.  He said to keep soaking it in epsom salt, then put Tegaderm Film on it and wrap it with an Ace bandage.  Got a lot of experience with them when I had the super bug.  Have a follow-up appointment next week.  On a kind note,,,today was trash day.  No big deal.  Just push the bin to the curb and bring it back after the truck comes by.  Well, when I got back from the doc appointment, my bin had been pulled back to the house and put in it's place!  There are two candidates for this,,,my next door neighbor who's done it before and my neighbor across the street.  I've got great neighbors.

I picked up a medication organizing for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree Store -- great way to keep my pills organized and I only have to refill it once each week.

That is so great about your neighbors -- it is from you being such a sweetie I\'m sure. I was a victim of a violent crime way back when and am basically very shy around people I don\'t know from the trauma because I am alone and ill since the death of my husband my neighbors treat me as though I had the plague no one likes it when they see someone coping alone with illness and I guess it makes us appear to be less than worthy of having any contact with those around us or something I have been unable to figure it out so far. If I could afford it I could give them gifts and such or if I were well enough I could be more involved in the neighborhood but the only exercise I can manage for right now is on the treadmill at the foot of my bed and that is the only reason I am allowed any exercise at all. I have had better moments in the past and can only hope for more soon where I can be involved with my neighbors perhaps once I get the pavers laid around the gardens creating patio spaces with some chairs and tables people may come and sit to visit and such. What threw me for a loop was when my husband died during my final week of chemo for the advanced cancer I truly believe I was surrounded by family in being part of the Christian community but they turned out to be more greed based and judged me as unworthy based on the economics I have faced since the death of my husband from my being too ill to hold down a job but I suppose I had to face that painful truth and move on at some point and have managed to somehow survive it has just been heartbreaking to endure but I am hanging on and perhaps life will soon improve I have learned my lessons very well at least.

((hugs)) to you and Kit.

Could we trade neighbors for a bit. Sounds like you have wonderful neighbors and I am so happy that you do. I wish you the best with your health and of course, give Kit a pat on the head for me. Thinking of you
