Angel friends, i need to write about some things. Holly,Family stuff :)

hi angel friends, big group comforting friendship hug :)

i have some things i need to share, and to write about. some upcoming changes, but changes for the better, and for the future :) things haven't been the same in recent times, and currently. i've been struggling, and worried about Holly. it's a difficult situation she's been facing. it's not fair, and wasn't supposed to be like this. when you care very  much about someone, and they are struggling through a time that's tougher than it should be, you want to do all you can, to help out,and to make things better, to make things right. we're a kind, loving, caring family, and we cherish the wonderfulness of close friendships, bonds, and connections. i've always said, when we all are going through a rough time, it's like we all are a family banding together, and helping eachother. That's one of the key values of being a family. :)

Holly is one of us :) She and i met, here on DS. we got close, and we've been very tight, close, through a lot of things. there's lots i haven't shared, or posted about, but out of respect of her privacy, and not unloading all kinds of stuff into my journals.

2012,she had tia strokes, some bad falls, and concussions.

2013, increase of migraines.

2015, she was uprooted from her home,by her dad, and they took her 2 cats away, broke her heart, and then put her in a place with a lady who wasn't right with her.

She moved in with Regina, and it got bad there.

2016, her dear mom Linda passed away.

2017, 2018, she developed into an eating disorder

2019, she wanted to get treated for her eating disorder, was all set, put everything into motion, and her daughter Kim, emotionally abused her, treated her very badly, upset her to the point where she experienced PTSD, and depression got worse, and her daughter put her into a crisis center, and then another one,and just left her there.

Holly doesn't deserve that. no one does. She's beenthrough a lot, she's a fighter, and a survivor :) She and i talked last evening, 2 heart to heart talks. she wants out of Maryland. She said,no one visited her, she even put make up on last weekend, and no one came to see her. it's very upsetting. She's been through a lot, but a lot of it caused by outer forces of lack of support from her own family. it's been heart-wrenching to hear her sad voice. she is a wonderful person, and doesn't deserve this, she deserves better. She said, that the social worker said, the group housing, is$750 per month, and would be with another 9 people, for a total of 10 people. she can't afford it, plus she said, she wouldn't do well in that type of situation. i made some calls last night, and thinking about things.

This morning, Holly called me at 7:14am before they take vitals. she and i talked. it was a very good talk. i talked with my mom earlier, and i told Holly about the talk, and some things my mom and i discussed. we're discussing big things, that will be changes, but changes for the better. Holly needs a family right now, she needs welcoming, open arms, to be there for her, but most importantly, needs hearts that are understanding, caring, and helpful. She wants to be out of Maryland, she feels like there's nothing left really, and wants a fresh start. her daughter Kim is moving to Massachusetts. my mom and i are gonna call Sheppard Pratt today, to discuss things with them. there's a very deep meaningly chance, opportunity, that is almost certain, 100%,  that Holly is gonna be moving to Connecticut, and she's gonna be with us here. she needs this, new start, new beginning, she needs family life. She and i are very close, deeply hearts connected, and we want to be there for her, in her time of need.Holly and i have wanted to be together, but with situations, and all going on, we haven't had time to discuss everything, but we need to do something for her. Holly is ALL for this, wheni talked with her this morning about it, she pepped up, and was so thankful, and grateful. we want to give her a fresh start, and beginning with slow steps. She is being treated at SP right now, with getting use too her new meds, but that's a good thing, and that will help her in the long run. i contacted Holly's therapist, and he may be giving me a call today to discuss things. Holly is very capable, independent, and just needs a little help right now. all of the things above i mentioned, that she's been through, it would be majorly hard on anyone, to make it through with very little help. Holly is family to us, and we want her to be here with us, to begin a new fresh start, that she deserves. :) this is gonna be a process, and won't happen overnight, but it will happen, and will be the new start she needs, getting situated, and being together :) i talked with my mom, and Lisa, Alyssa,we all are for this,my dad's in too :) we're gonna help Holly, and she'll be with us, and new times ahead to enjoy :) i'm not going anywhere, i will always be here on DS <3 Holly is family to us, and we'd love to have her here with us, and we're gonna be right there by her side, on her journey to getting healthier, with her eating disorder recovery, and for years to come :) we just have to take it one day, sometimes one hour at a time :) We need you all, our dear angel friends, on this with us :) i will keep everyone updated :) we're gonna take it slow, easy, and the process will take time, but we're gonna make it through, a day at a time :)

-never lose hope :)

This is all from my heart. everyone who knows me, knows i'll always stand by Holly's said :) This has been very rough on her and i, but we're strong, and we'll remain strong :)

Hi sweet Chris, I’m so happy and excited for u. I was hoping this would happen but I didn’t want to say anything as this is your decision. I think it will be great for Holly to move in with u. It’s the perfect time. I think it will be very good for Holly and she will get the help she needs from u and your family. I think this is what she needs to be with u and your family. It’s been hard on her with the passing of her mom, not having support from her daughter and family and having bad living situations. Holly needs a new fresh start with people who love her. U both r very good friends and close so why not. It’s a good decision.. I look forward to this happening for the both of u. Sending lots of love and hugs. I hope u will have a good day. Things will be better for u and Holly and it’s so nice u have the support of your whole family including your dad. Hugs and love and best wishes.

Hi Chris this is of course all up to you and your family. Holly has lots of problems and issues and having her there when she is having a not so good day will not be easy on any of you. It will also be another person for you and your family to care for and feed. You do not work and your folks are getting up in years now. You have all of this to consider plus I would think her family and therapists would have to be ok with her moving to CT and in with you and your family.Good Luck Hope all works out for the best for Holly and your family.

Hi Chris Please be very careful with this situation. I know that you and Holly care deeply for each other and I know this solution sounds great to both of you, but take it slow. A person in recovery has a lot of issues to take care of. Make sure that Holly has a group of medical professionals that can take of her in CT and also a support group other than your family she can talk with. There will be things she needs to talk about that she can't share with you. Holly has been through a lot of emotional and physical drama and it is going to be hard for her accept the love that your family wants to give to her. She is going to be suspicious at first and may even appear to be cold and stand offish. This is just her way of getting used to accepting love.

I am very happy for the two of you and I hope you are able to work all the details out. You two have been together for a long long time and now may be the time for you to make it permanent. Just remember that she has a family already who may not be as happy with this news as you all are. Take care and keep us all updated. Love and Hugs--Debbie

I agree with you sunsetyellow I have also told Chris to be very careful in this situation. and left a comment above. There are many things involved in bring Holly to live with Chris and family and it may not be as easy as it seems right now. I am all for being supportive of friends and people on this site. But you have to be realistic as well. Hope you're feeling better sunsetyellow

Hi Chris...You already know my feelings about this, and that I will always support you, regardless of your decision. However, I agree 100% with Stephanie and Debbie. Holly is a wonderful lady. She also has a wide range of mental health issues. Communication via the phone is often very different from in-person interaction.

If Holly can establish a mental health team in CT and live near you, that would be great. You and your family are an excellent support system for her. However, please do not immediately invite her into your home. Day-to-day life together is very different from hanging out on the phone watching shows. She clearly has a lot of issues to work through, and I'm afraid you would regret your decision within a matter of days. Also, Stephanie makes a good point about your aging parents taking on another mouth to feed.

In my professional life, I encountered similar situations, when couples who didn't know each other that well moved in together way too soon. They typically ended poorly, with court battles involving eviction, allegations of abuse, and lots of tears. I don't want you and your family to go through any of that.

Denny and I will always be here to support you, regardless of your decision. We love you and just don't want to see you and your family get hurt. Praying for Holly's recovery and that everything works out in the end. Big hugs.

maybe you can find holly an inexpensive efficiency apartment or a place that is based on income, those are verrrrry cheap and generally nice enough. if it's near your home you can visit on weekends. you have a huge heart chris. lovely that you and your parents want to help her. and connecticut is fairly close to massachusetts if her daughter wants to visit her sometimes.
