andy sends us another poem
PRAISE SONG Praise the light of mid-November,the thin sunlight that goes deep in the bones.Praise the crows chattering in the oak trees;though they are clothed in night, they do not despair.Praise what little there's left:the small boats of milkweed pods, husks, hulls, shells, the architecture of trees.Praise the meadow of dried weeds:yarrow, goldenrod, chicory, the remains of summer.Praise the blue sky that hasn't cracked yet.Praise the sun slipping down behind the beechnuts, praise the quilt of leaves that covers the grass:Scarlet Oak, Sweet Gum, Sugar Maple.Though darkness gathers, praise our crazyfallen world; it's all we have, and it's never enough.~ Barbara Crooker

Wow, what a beautiful poem. It is so true, \"it\'s all we have, and it\'s never enough\" Thank you for sharing! The ending of the poem was such a good punch line. I Loved It!! Love & Hugs, Kelly
Wow is right! What a wonderful poem....I absolutely love it. Thanks!
That is beautiful. It is difficult to appreciate what we have after losing a child. But we really do have a lot to praise. Thank you.
Sarah, great poem. \"They do not despair\". I love that. Glad you made the green smiley Monday deadline, lol.
Very nice I like it.
Praise what little is left. wow. thanks for the poem. can we not get a collection? I don\'t know how to find them for myself and they add another whole dimension to our lives.
The beauty that is in our midst if we can just be here now to savor it. What a lovely reminder of all that there is for us and not to have the focus be simply on \"what isn\'t.\" Abundance rather than lack. Thank you, Sarah, and yes, glad you made it before the \"deadline.\" :) With love, Joanie
praise what little there is left...
AMEN
Thank you for the reminder to try to continue to find that to be thankful for. It is so difficult to see through the haze sometimes. Hugs.
