And there it goes...
So much for wondering which kind of IUI we should do. Guess I shouldn't have spent so much energy agonizing over it. In the course of one afternoon...looks like neither is an option.
My husband's truck has been making a weird noise for about a month. He's been researching and trying to figure out what it could be. He does all of his own maintenance, repairs, upgrades, etc. He has sunk so much money into that truck...and it is seriously bad ass. Which is why I was so touched when he offered the money for his latest upgrade towards an IUI. However, this afternoon he finally found the source of the noise. Two separate issues that both have to be fixed and will probably run at least $500. He offered to go generic on parts - gasp of disbelief from my corner - but I know he doesn't want to.
He asked when he could make the repairs and I was emotional about it and now he's upset. Does he not understand where that money will have to come from? IUI fund now becomes fix the truck fund.
I was sitting on the couch, trying to be optimistic, trying not to cry about the expense that we can't afford, trying to think that at least we could probably still swing a regular IUI without injections. Then he noticed a dripping sound from the laundry room, which is directly below the kitchen. Guess what? Dishwasher is leaking through the floor! Woohoo, we get to call a repairman. Wonder how much that will cost?
I just want to go to bed and cry. So unless God changes His mind and decides to give me a baby...I don't see it happening in the foreseeable future. Cause all of the money meant to give us a shot, just disappeared.

I\'m so sorry that you are going through this, to be all excited about an IUI then all this happen at one time. It seems that when it rains it pours. Do you have health insurance? And if so, have you checked to see if they cover?
We have incredible health insurance that would cover IUI and IVF at 90%. Except that my husband had a vasectomy during his previous marriage. We had it reversed and tests show that there is no way he is a factor in our IF. But insurance still denied us. Just another one of those punches in the gut that have been all too frequent in the last few weeks. :(
I am so sorry that life is throwing you these curve balls, its so frustrating to be so close to something and then just have it crash down around you. I hope and pray that there will be light at the end of the tunnel for you....
