and the saga continues...

So, I come in to work today able to walk without my cane.  I feel pretty good.  The accountant pulls me aside and informs me that, yes I applied for an account clerk position, but things have changed now.  She is no longer looking to fill the account clerk job.  She has to post it to the public and in house as a clerical position.  It seems that a person in her unit is not doing a very good job and is being moved into this position which has more responsibility than the one she was doing.  They are going to post her job as a clerical position.
So,  even if nobody understands what that ramble above mean, in a nutshell, they don't want me.  Of course, I was encouraged to apply for the clerical job.  However, I applied for it before and was told I was overqualified.  What is the point?  I have been blackballed and cannot get myself into another job in this agency at this time.
I don't understand why they don't fire the person who is doing a poor job. She is on a probationary period...they would be within their rights to do so.  So, because they made a bad decision in hiring this woman and she is is incapable of entering information into the computer system correctly, I am being punished? I don't know. Maybe it is because of my disability that they don't want me.  At this point, it doesn't matter. I have a ball and chain strapped to my ankle and my desk. I am stuck in this hell hole with two women who complain daily for hours on end how far behind they are.  Seems to me that if they spent that time working, they might not be so far behind.  Far be it for me to point that out to them.  They already dislike me because I am caught up and don't chat.
Just another day in paradise.
All I want for Christmas is a diagnosis!  Maybe then I can get a disability and get out of here.  On my good days  I can volunteer at my children's schools and feel like I am doing something worthwhile.

Hang in there. I know how you fill. Sometimes I think my boss thinks I can not do my job because I have MS. I am not showing any physical signs of MS but I know it scares them that I have it. Just remember we are lucky to have a job. Most people are looking for work and can not find it. Things will work out for the best. God is watching over us!
