I might not be the 6 million dollar man but I'm working on it. One gadget at a time. I picked up another one today..a brand new CPAP machine. Tonight will be my first night that I use it. I am just able to contain my enthusiasm. To be honest, I really don't want to deal with this thing but I'll do it...because they say that I had better. Besides they have this computer card that monitors your use and I have to bring it in in 60 days. You can't even cheat on this thing. Now that's dirty pool. Since it is to be my constant companion in bed from now on, I guess I should give it a name. Otherwise I would be sleeping with a stranger...and I'm just not that kind of guy. Maybe I'll call it Natalie since Natalie Wood was my favorite actress when I was young..er! So Natalie it is then. Maybe that will make my transition a bit easier. I hope so. Be well,Tom

I think I might have liked her better if she blew in my ear. This blowing in my nose and mouth will take some getting used to.
It took my hubby awhile to get used to his.
A computer card...now that\'s just not fair! Hubby\'s has a counter on his that adds up all the hours the machine is turned on. It is actually good in the long run, but it does take some getting used to.
I always wonder how someone with bad asthma would be able to use it though. Hubby has asthma but his is under amazing control right now. I don\'t think I could handle having air blown into my face when I was having a hard time breathing to begin with. I guess it might be like getting oxygen during an attack....who knows.

I was given one with a humidifier. I think that\'s about the only concsssion they give to asthmatics. I really don\'t like it much but it has gotten easier in just the three days I have used it.
It causes me to belch in the mornings. Too much air in the belly I guess.
My insurance company requires that I use it an average of 4 hours a night or they won\'t pay for it.. thus the computer card.

Ahhhh...those darn insurance companies! I wonder how many people just turn theirs on and don\'t use it just so the card shows that they did use it? Not eactly the point of having it though.
Hubby\'s has a humidifier too. He thinks it has been helping his asthma. He feels that since it is forcing air into his lungs everyday it helps. Who knows...
I know that when he doesn\'t use it, I kind of miss the little sounds it makes. Plus, he snores like crazy lol.
