And the beatings just keep coming!!!
Along with everything else that's going on. I'm being judged and railroaded right out of my church.
The leader went 'soldier' in the army of the Lord last week and called me out Me directly and said I'm not in church and I should just leave.
This week I'm there leprous pariah now that all walk by as if I don't exist. Lol
Think I'm done here. God not in stone and wood or a name over the door. He's in the heart.

Wow, thats mean.
I don"t understand, try another church. Gentle Hugs...Brooke
It's been my experience, anecdotal as it is, that unfortunately, many organized religions are not of the heart, but rather of the dysfunctional mind - specifically the mind of group think and mob mentality. I'm so very sorry you are having to deal with this. Being part of a supportive group/community is something we humans want/need. However, the working definition of a group, as I learned it, is three of more people where two or more gang up on one or more. Sad but true. In my personal spiritual journey, I'm finding that there is a direct line to the creator/source. Therefore we don't have to waste time dealing with what I now call the "party line" (a little play on an extinct concept that now flourishes once again in a very different way than in the olden days). Sending healing love & light filled hugs your way.
Just curious, what denomination is this church?
I used to think that where you found God is where one should stay Brooke...that has evolved and I am going to start looking. Deckard, with all respect to those in church who believe I choose not to say in criticism. many there are good people and I wish them happiness and prosperity. they are struggling like us all.
Just to play devil's advocate, so to speak, is it possible the leader has a valid lesson he is trying to teach you? A lesson worth learning?
Dunno. . . Seems equally possible he suffering religious psychosis. You are the one with your finger on that pulse and it be yours to sort.
If you should stay where you found God, I really am challenged. I don't even know what state that hidey hole was in. For sure, it wasn't in a church. I favor the theory that I go where God leads me.
Sounds too much like a cult to me. No pastor has power and authority over you. Only God has that privilege. And he does NOT speak for God, if it means you are being demeaned and thinks he is right.
Do look for another church. Look for a pastor who is loving, a belief statement you agree with, and worship that is from the heart, not necessarily a youtube video!
God is in your heart. The fellowship you receive at a church is great but like anything else in life you have to look around. The minister/priest is the main function so it's best to find someone you can relate to.
