And.....Starting Over :)

After a good long cry the other night, I am ready to just live and take it one day at a time. I'm starting to realize that I am goinbg to pull my hair evry once in a while, and I've come to accept that (somewhat). And while i cringe every time I pull out a hair, I will NOT beat myself up about it! I just need to put my hands down and MOVE ON, instead of mope about what could've been another pf day. Tomorrow is a fresh start, and I will always have the chance to improve, whether it means not pulling or even just limiting the hairs that I pull. If I'm going to do this, I need to be comfortable with the fact that I'm not perfect, and I will make mistakes, and I will still be okay. Here are some things I can tell myself if I pull:
- Don't think that since you pulled a couple hairs, you are allowed to continue to pull
- Put on some bandaids!
-Keep your hands down!
- Every single hair belongs on your head. In fact, the hairs that are imperfect deserve to remain intact, because you have flaws too, and it's NORMAL.
-Things always look better in the morning
-Go look at your quotes list and your reasons not to pull
-Make yourself proud. Remember how good it feels to look in the mirror and see beautiful hair.

Sometimes, a hair is ready to come out, whether or not we accidentally pull it. One of the people here on DS uses percentages to help view the long-term goal of being pull-free, and it lessens the impact of a single pull moment. You\'re doing a great job! The best gift you are giving yourself is by staying the distance, and keeping at the goals with your hands!
