And let's do the Cha Cha!

One step forward, two steps back and slide.....
... right back to the beginning, lol.  He rejected my offer.  Well, at least that's what the realtor said.  The realtor said that waiting 2 months for the zoning change to get processed from start to finish is too long, and if I want it I'll have to do something different... I figure by different he means buy it and do it illegally like he suggested in the beginning... yeah, like all I really want to do is create another crazy neighbor situation, but this time with REAL law violations....  Nope...
What I'm gonna do different is sit on it, lol.  Think 2 months is too long?   Well, I know (though they don't know that I know) that the house has not only been for sale for over a year, but that being in a flood plain and an industrial park with 5 churches around it doesn't make it appealing to local buyers.  Oh, and did I mention that he's been running a business out of it without the permits required and that the realtor told the county about it?   Yeah, things are gonna get interesting, ESPECIALLY since he's under a time constraint (came up in conversation yesterday - realtor quickly changed the subject when he noticed me honing in) and from their behavior it seems like I'm the only bite despite what they say to the contrary (he can't keep his stories straight)...
Ok, before I clarify this, I do have to warn you that I'm cranky today.  Why?  No idea.  I just woke up that way and it's not only flipping COLD outside (-11 at sunrise without wind, -1 right now), but my brake lines on my van froze up, making it a bad idea to go anywhere - which is fine, because since I'm so cranky that may be a good thing...
Ok, to clarify... why is 5 churches a bad thing?  Well, because they're all different, because they all are at "religious warfare" (their words, not mine), and because this is SMACK DAB in the center of them.  If you've lived around churches long enough, you'd know that they're all going to try to "win" you over... to their church, because after all, it's the same God, right?  And why wouldn't I have a problem with that?   Because my entire family (mother's side) are ministers and I know how they think.
SO... hoping that the van thaws out over the weekend when we get a heat wave in the 30's, the realtor and I are going to go look at more properties next week to see if there's something else out there that might just work better.  It doesn't hurt to keep your mind and options open!  And in the meantime, I've just finished my business plan figures today - gonna call the SBA mentors next week to see if I have any mistakes, get in touch with local banks to see if I can get preapproval, maybe even head up to the county commission to keep an eye on that zoning issue for that vet that I mentioned yesterday...  btw, did I ever mention that one of my earliest jobs out here was meeting with city commissioners about closing off streets for special events?   I've got a little edge there as well...
Yep, this is a learning experience.  It's pretty cool, actually, and I'm losing some of my crankiness... if my hands will ever warm up.   LATER!

May the crankies fade away!

Almost anything worthwhile is a major cha cha! This will pan out eventually one way or the other. Keep being level headed.
