And I've killed the rose bush....

Overwatered it.   Hopefully it's strong enough to come back.

And at the dog park yesterday, I discovered I'd left milk in the van...overnight and through the previous warm day.   BLAAAH.   Man, some days I'm such a dope.

But on the POSITIVE side.... gutter's fixed!  Windshield wiper FIXED!   I love it when I learn something new.... love it when I'm able to accomplish something that I wasn't sure I could do (I was afraid of breaking both of them).  And I LOVE that feeling of self confidence that comes with doing stuff that's completely out of my comfort zone!

Too busy today (gotta get out there and shovel the 6 inches of snow we got yesterday), but in the near future, I'll post photos of the rest of the house that's a work-in-progress.  New laminate floor is going to go into the kitchen and living room - I need 14 more boxes of it first; bathroom needs to be completely gutted, but I've done work in there so you can't see the age of it unless you look VERY closely; And my basement is all hodgepodge right now, but when I get done with it, it's gonna look SO cool as my art studio!
Have a great day, everybody!   LATER!

I love it when I do one of those things I thought I might not be able to do too. There\'s got to be some perks to living alone. I have my own toolbox now. Keep going mtlionbait.

It can be so good for your self confidence when you do things well that you\'ve never done before. Your house is going to look so different when you finish your projects. I have my own tools too and found out I acquired the ex\'s tools during the divorce. I will really enjoy seeing the pictures of the changes you have accomplished.

Don\'t be jealous, bean, lol. It needs LOTS of work. I still need to confirm this with a handyman to make sure I\'m right, but it looks like I need framing (again completely out of my comfort zone), drywall, flooring, PAINT (and lots of it), not to mention fixing the cement wall that\'s cracked and leaks in the Spring (that one could get UGLY because I may have to tear out the cinder blocks, and put in a new window/escape system). Then lights (I only have a single bulb down there now which makes seeing difficult, lol).... I\'m thinking of putting put lighted ceiling fans. ANYWAYS, it may take me a year to get my finances together enough to actually get some work done on it.
