anger

I feel very angry that I got robbed of the rest of my life with my only child. My grandchildren got robbed of their dad at age 17, Christina & age 20, Joshua. He was only 37 & we had such a close, supportive relationship. Even he & his ex-wife were best friends. He had such a sweet spirit. Life is so unfair. I do thank God for the years I had him, but it is sio painful. Thanks for listeneing.

I\'m so sorry for your loss and so sorry that your granchildren have lost their father at such a young age. We do feel \"robbed\", we have been \"robbed\". It\'s only natural to feel anger. I think anger is one of the greatest emotions we experience. When we have no where to direct that blame or anger, it turns inward. For some we don\'t know who to blame or we blame ourselves and that causes anger and frustration. What could we have done differently, why couldn\'t we have protected and saved our children? It goes on and on with the unanswered questions. Anger tears at our core and your loss is so new and still so fresh and present that it is hard to look beyond today and see how to work through your grief. We will help you work through your grief and walk this journey with you. Time doesn\'t heal, but time does change things drastically. It\'s difficult to hear and even more difficult to realize, but I will tell you that your anger will dissipate and one day, you will look back at the past and look forward to the future. You\'ll have to have patience and slowly learn to trust in the world again, but for now, take each day as it comes and experience all the emotion. Use the amazing women on this site as your safety net and be gentle with yourself. Here for you. Love Robin

Thank you Robin. I am consumed with guilt over not knowing that my son had a ticking time bomb in his body & that I didn\'t protect him. I can see that you understand. As you said in your comment it does go on & on with the unanswered questions. I appreciate your support & that you\'ll walk this journey with me. Love you, too.Linda

Linda, that is how we feel sometimes...as if we have been robbed. Robbed of a lifetime with our child. I also felt guilt for so long, like why didn\'t I realize that maybe something had gone wrong again with Chris\' heart. But he was doing fine and I now know there is nothing I could have done. This is an up and down journey, and some days the pain and anger will be there more than others. Just let your emotions out and you will feel better. Your grief is so new and you can only take it one step at a time. But we are here for you. Love, Kim

Awww friend, I so understand...and I guess we have been robbed. It is so painful...and life is so different now. Your loss is so recent and the pain so raw...give yourself time to go through all your feelings...and try to find a little peaceful moment everyday...love and hugs...Karen

Linda, i, just like you and the others, felt guilt for Robin\'s dying. All the \"if onlys\" played over and over in my mind. We all have so many questions that have no answers, at least not in our earthly lifetime... This journey thru the grief of losing your child is hard, especially when it is so recent. All of us who have lost a child feel responsible somehow, like we didn\'t do enough. But we have to accept that we did all we could and that it is not our fault. I pray you peace.

Love and hugs, Kathie
