An update I suppose
I seem to have a lot of people interested in my well-being, so this is for you guys. The honest truth is the only thing that helps me when on DS is when I feel like I'm helping others cope. I like the feeling of being a counselor, but the bottom line is I'm not... and until I can say that I'm at least in school to be something, I feel like fraud and that my critics are right . I have moved from Michigan and moved in with a friend who I met here on DS to tide my loneliness. I felt like such a burden living with my sister that is became too unbearable. I'm now only 3 hours away from my parents, so seeing them more with help too. The town I live in now has a rather large Mental hospital right here in town despite the town only being 5,000 population. I have not and will not give up on being a Psychiatrist. But the taking the steps in the right direction have proven difficult. Thus the reason I've stayed away so long.

Rich, you are a blessing with or without a degree in psychiatry, you have helped people here. We find counsel through many people through life. You have a heart of gold, and a desire to reach out. That\'s a good thing. Don\'t lose sight of that no matter what. I love ya Rich, stick around. I love your input, and miss you !!! xx
Just be you, no need to explain :) alwyays,

Best of luck to you Rich. Hope things go your way to the extreme.
Godspeed Papi, I am sure this New Year will bring great things to you. Love always - Mamacita
Everyone helps each other here and we don\'t have degrees. I\'d just ignore the jerks who are probably just jealous, since you have educated yourself more than they. Miss you, come on back!!
What better degree then to have come closest to walking in another\'s shoe\'s to know the lonliness, pain, despiar, and the heartache that mental illness brings.....And to have a heart that feels the pain of others and wants to alleviate their pain Chugger...that plus your psychiatry degree one day will make you a beautiful genius in the field of psychiatry...Thanks for asking me to be your friend Chuggernaught
sometimes the school of hard knock teaches us the most. it is where i learned all my best lessons
