an update

I resolved the situation after taking the valuable advice that was offered to me here on this platform and for that I will forever be greatful. I talked it out with my best friend and explained my side of things to which she gracfully accepted my sincre apologies and although I carry some residual anxiety, I know things are going to be okay. School is cancelled for the next two weeks here due to the virus (which has been a point of concern for me but I am trying my best not to worry to much) and I am taking this as a chance to get caught up on school work that I missed during my depressive episode, that way i'll be all caught up on my work when I get back and I'll have a fresh starts of sorts. I am very lucky to have all of you guys on here because it really keeps me going. I am excited to share some news with you guys that I've gotten five scholarships (two of which are full ride) to five different schools out of the nine schools to which I applied and got accpeted too! I got accepted into a couple of the honors programs as well. I know that college will be a challenge but it is something that I am looking forward to. gaining independence in a sense and finding my own place in the world and I figure the more I throw myself out there, maybe the less scary everything will be at the end of the day. someone told me I gotta spread my wings and I have a feeling they're right. I am anxious about how I am going to keep up with the school work in college and being away from home but I also know that I have to have faith in myself and trust in God and the fact that everything will work out in the end. I always end up having mixed emotions when it comes to life. it's difficult to be positive about life when you spent the majority of your life feeling hopeless. I still struggle a lot and everyday is a challenge filled with trials and tribulations. However, like all of us here, I am a fighter and sometimes we lose some of the battles but that does not mean that we lost the war. I hope we all win the war that is raging inside each one of us. I know I have nothing but faith in my fellow warriors.

Yeah, for Lorelei! Getting that large number of scholarships is awe-inspiring, and two full-ride scholarships are even more impressive. Making up with your friends is something that you will cherish, especially going to college. Moving out and spreading your wing is necessary passage to adulthood. Not to say you won't have some falters, but you are going to do well and thrive.

Congrats those are awesome accomplishments!! I'm glad you were able to talk with your BF and work things through. Sounds like a great way to use your down time while on this Co-V break, getting caught up.

Take care.
