An Interesting Observation
As some know I've had ongoing hip/pelvic issues(left side) off and on for quite some time. As alot may know it can at times interfere with life. I found that extensive walking(shopping), standing, even alot of hrs at the shelter can by the end of the day leave my hip very sore. For some time I've thought of a cane. I figured I may not use it all the time but it could be good for those days where I feel like I need the extra support. I finally gave in & picked one up today as I was meeting my sister downtown anyway (good chance to try out while downtown). It will indeed be a benefit for those off times. But here's whats funny - how people trreat you. I got more respect then I'd normally see in days for various diff things. When I stopped for lunch the girl at the cash desk said "do you need help with that dear" or people would seem to be more patient at a cash desk. There were just all sorts of little things, the way they look at you and so on and so on. But I realized a while ago that if more people in the world could be this nice "just because" can you all imagine what kind of a place the world could be.

yes, that is interesting. wouldn\'t it be nice indeed if we all loved our neighbor ALL the time, just because?
hope your hip feels better soon. hip pain is no fun to say the least. I say though, if the cane helps you, use it. if you ever worry that others might label you, just remember that 5 minutes after they\'ve passed, they probably won\'t recall your cane at all.
