An early mothers day.
Hello all. Just got home from a day spent here there and everywhere. This morning I drove to my mothers to bring her out shopping and to lunch on the coast. It was chilly today but the rain they called for held off... thank goodness!! We had fun shopping, and we were waited on by the SAME waitress that waited on us on my birthday.. the same one that invited Kevin and I to go out dancing with her and her hubby and friends... she invited us to go out tonight with her too.. lol... it was very cute and I was very flattered that I had made such a good impression on her in just two breef meetings.. I felt bad having her take our order and clear our table after us.. it was like having a friend wait on me.. kinda uncomfortable. I know its her jib, but I felt like taking the plates out of her hand and bringing them into the kitchen. I could tell she wanted to sit and chat with us, but she stayed "professional" and only chatted when she was coming to check on us... when I went up to pay..... then I got my ear talked off.. lolThe second I drove in from being out with mom, Kevin and I took off for the Home Depot to pick up supplies for some yard work tomorrow. The Home Depot out here is closing and moving to their new location thats like, 5 mins down the road.. and rather than transfer their merchandise, they are selling it off at 30-50% off.. I LOVE SALES!!! lol.. That was reason enough to buy yard work supplies... I paid $50 for everything and I got a trunk full and backseat full of items.. fun fun fun. Then we went out to dinner for our "date night"... we waited nearly an hour for our food because its prom night out here and EVERYWHERE was swamped... Dont worry, I got grilled chicken stir fry, full of veggies.. I ate half and bagged up the other half before I even started eating. I cheated and got a diet coke, but I needed something to keep me awake while we waited for the food! grrr...So now I am home, and obviously rambling.... I am a bit bummed about mothers day, not having a little one of my own. I take care of twelve like they were my own, but dont get to partake in days like tomorrow. My mom and I had to spend it together a day before because she will be with my great grandmother, bringing her out to lunch and then visiting my step dads mothers grave to leave flowers. My mom and step dad havent been able to spend much time together because their business has been CRAZY this spring... so I thought they could use some alone time on their day off together.Well, if I dont stop writing now, who knows when I will lol.. Happy Mothers Day to all you mommys out there! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hugs

Wow, sounds like you had a great day! Fun AND productive too with all that Home Depot stuff you got for a steal. I wasn\'t even married at your age yet. you are still so young lotsa life ahead of you. I know you are going to be a fantastic Mom someday! Those kids you have in your day care are so blessed to have you and I bet you spend about as much time with some of them as their own Moms do, so you are playing a big part in ther lives. Here\'s a big hug for all the love you have shown them! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
I love sales too!! It sounds like you got a ton of great stuff! I know you aren\'t a mother, but you really are. You mother (like you said) lots of kidlets every day and that takes so much love and dedication! I still think people who devote their lives to children really are mothers! So happy non-mother but still a mother nonetheless day!! I love you!
Never let the \"Im not a mom yet\" get you down. You have plenty of time for becoming a mother.
Right now You have the best of both worlds. LOVE all day (m-f) and PEACE at night. (Shoot, we even took the 18 Y.O. to the doc at 10 pm Friday night...it never ends!)
Hoping you EMBRACE Sunday, for what it is! HUGS
