An Anniversary of Sorts

One year ago today, my husband and I separated under extremely stressful circumstances.  We were separated, and lived apart for about 3 months.
I think it's odd I remember this day so well, when, after 7 years of marriage I often forget if my wedding anniversary is June 24 or June 26.  But remember it I do, in vivid detail.
We have done a lot of work since last year, and we are in a much better place than we have been in for years.  So, while it is in a way a sad anniversary, it also has a really good silver lining.  While the whole thing was horrible for our family, it seems almost like we needed that separation to reset our marriage.
That being said, I still had some anxiety today.  I have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays every week.  3 classes both days.  I had some issues at the beginning of my first class, and was really worried I was going to have to leave class and go home.  Instead, I tried a trick I read on here about the ABC's (A is for apple, B is for banana) and I went through the alphabet.  I had to do it twice, but it really helped me refocus, and I got through that class and the next with no problem.
I came home for lunch and went back for my last class of the day.  I had a problem at the beginning of that class too.  Once again I did the alphabet thing and it seemed to help, and I got through just fine.
Being that it is the anniversary of that sad day, and that my husband works second shift, my mom came and spent some time with me, mostly because I was worried I would have anxiety issues.  I made it through fairly ok (love my kids but they were acting like fools!), and now, I think I am going to go and try some light exercise!
