An Amazing weekend.
Wow what an amazing weekend we just had. My beautiful amazing daughter Graduated with honors from nursing school on Saturday, that combined with her teaching degree gives her a total of 2 Bachelor degrees, and 2 associate degrees. She is well on her way to her Masters in nursing which she should have in about 2 years doing online classes while she is working full time. Yes she has already landed a job in an acute care hospital. After Graduation several of us went to lunch at Tomato Brothers, and I probabaly had a few to many Coronas w/ lime but what the heck they went down so smoothly. Sunday we got to spend the day with our Grandson at his 6th Birthday Party at a cool gymnastics place. The wonderful instructors taught the kids how to do all kinds of cool gymnastics moves for 3 hours before we finished off with pizza, cake and punch. The kids had an absolute ball along with many of the parents and even Nana (myself) got in on it. The best one was the big pit filled with foam blocks and trying to swim in a sea of foam was a task all in itself, Talk about getting one out of breath. Today (Monday) my husband took the day off work because he knew I had 1 more day off before my 7 day stretch at work and we took our boat out to do a little jet boating on the river and even managed to do a little salmon fishing (yes we caught a couple of real nice Chinook salmon about 15-20 lbs each), I'm not quite sure which I liked better the fishing or the jet boating. However I did notice I came home with a few more bruises than before we left, as the river is at high water levels due to the snow melt off in the high country, and was pretty rough white water in spots. Still a great time. We then took our boat out of the water around 3 PM and managed to make it to our Grandsons very first T-Ball game. His team won but it didn't really matter as all the little guys are winners in my book. We cheered for both teams. Tomorrow (Tuesday) I go back to the orthopedic surgeon before I go to work we'll see if I finally get a full release to go back to work full time. I'm still having issues with my silly knee and my physical therapist seems to think I have a Bakers Cyst behind my knee. If they can't get my body to absorb the fluid I might be looking at another surgery to remove the cyst, but that's down the road, At the very least I will be getting some of the fluid drained off the knee and a steroid shot to see if that helps. In the meantime I'm not gonna trouble trouble until trouble troubles me. In other words I'm not gonna worry about surgery for the cyst until it happens. Anyway just wanted to share my great weekend with all of you. Hope you all had a teriffic weekend too.
