An amazing experience
Soo.. about 3 months ago I met this amazing girl. At first I didn't really think much of her, we had only communicated through Email and I thought she's kinda cute but didn't really know her that well. Anyways, we eventually end up meeting going to a beach together, it was a lot of fun!
She told me right from the start she's only here for a few months and doesn't want a long distance relationship and at the time I really just wanted a girl to be with so I didn't really care that it was short term (I've never had a real FWB sort of thing anyways, the only thing that comes close was that crazy ex-roommate of mine who took my virginity), so we started dating/sleeping together.
She turned out to be really awesome! She was very intelligent, a lot of fun to hang out with, very affectionate and honest, even prettier than the pic she sent me, We clicked very VERY well.
Now, first off its very rare I meet someone I click with this well and as I expected I did start to fall for her even though I was trying hard to stay unattached, how could I not? This girl is a real good catch! I could VERY easily see us in a serious relationship one day... and she has admitted to feeling the same way.
She was here on an internship taking care of endangered and nearly extinct native birds and her internship ended a few weeks ago so she left to go back home (since she wasn't able to find a job elsewhere she had to move back in with her parents) but we still keep in touch, I've heard from her almost every day since she left.
This was the first pleasant, healthy romantic encounter I've ever had. When it comes to my love life I usually just try to avoid dating all together because it seems like everytime I've tried its always ended horribly for me, this time however it seems the exact opposite! I was really happy with her, it started on a good note, progressed fast and VERY smoothly, and ended on a bittersweet note but still much MUCH better than this sort of things usually starts, progresses and ends for me.
She's the reason my mood here was Excellent for such a long time and then changed to good (instead of my usual neutral or bad moodface). As I expected, I have been depressed over her leaving but very mildly and I've been pretty lonely but both of these feelings are pretty normal for me, I just hate going back to feeling this way all the time (even if its still not nearly as bad as it has been in the past).
I hadn't really realized how hard it had hit me until a few days ago when I pretty much just spent the whole day in bed smoking weed and sleeping while dr who was playing (I had the day off lol). I had a lot I needed to do and even tried like 10 times to get up and do them but eventually just kinda felt heavy and sluggish so I went back to sleep. I keep insisting I'll be fine and once I get over this initial laziness I will be (I sorta managed it today).
The thing is, since she left I've been considering going after her, moving to California to be with her. There's a lot of reasons for me to go to San Deago (not just her, great colleges, more opportunities), I might even get an internship or a job with her dad who works in the field I want to get into (computer programming). Unfortunately she didn't really seem that comfortable with the idea yet. She said her career is kind of unpredictable right now and she'll be moving around a lot until she can find a good paying zoo job (which she found a few days ago, not only a good job, THE JOB she wanted... except its in texus), and that I understand, that's fine. Even though I do have the money to move myself over there, I would be completely broke and homeless once I do.
Whenever we've talked about this, we've always kind of agreed on one thing, if I'm going to do something like this I should probably finish college first or at least try to get into my chosen field.
I do need to get myself together, I have goals I really do want to accomplish and its going to be a few years until I'll get to be with her again anyways. I'm not closed-minded to the idea of dating other people and she's definitely going to too but knowing my love life and my luck here anyways, I have way more motivation and incentive to just turn my focus elsewhere for a while.
I've already kinda started working on getting my life together. I've been drawing a lot, reading more, I want to teach myself more computer programming languages... Even if it doesn't work out with her, the effort I'd have to put into all this would be well worth it and I might as well since I have enough motivation from her, my other friends and to some lesser extent myself.
I've been trying to eat healthier, soon I will be quitting weed again for a while (obviously not forever but until I can give myself enough time off to enjoy it), my friend and I are going to try starting a business selling my artwork and various kinds of teas once we get a place to start growing. Its all kinda been progressing slowly.. slower than I had hoped but at least things are progressing. I'll be stuck on this island at least another year or so trying to pay off debts, getting myself back into college, building portfolios, that sort of thing but There really isn't much holding me back anymore except for laziness and depression.

Im happy that you finally find what love is!!!
Yeah\' me too! I soo wish she could have stayed. She was wonderful!
yesterday I was smmoking in the park and thinking of her and it came to me, why am I so depressed? Things ended really REALLY well. I only have good happy memories of her and someday I probably will see her again. Its sad she had to leave but really, I have no reason to be that depressed about it. If anything I should be happy. All the little things that remind me of her should just put a little smile on my face.. and it kind of does now.
And FYI rosyta, she was, in every possible way better than Sara ;)
Im happy for u my friend, u deserve.
Thanks :D I just wish we could have stayed together... but maybe someday we\'ll be together again..
the biggest smiles and warmest hugs.Jo :)..
