America, and her Grand Old Flag
As I sat in my old 1990 Plymouth Voyger... I watched my son wave at me and the dog through the window of the Checkers Burger loby...
I happen to glance up, and notice the Flags tangled around the flag pole.
Both the symbol of our once Great American Pride, and even the small Checker Burger flag... were unattended.. worn and wind torn...kind of a symbol of how little we tend to show our respect about our selfs and what we claim we believe in.
As a child in school I was the flag boy.. each day it was my duty to put up the Grand American Flag... It was not to touch the ground.. and it was not to be left out in the weather..
Flag duty required two person... as we were so instructed how to desplay our American Flag with Pride... and to care for that symbol for which it stands...
One Nation Under God with liberty and justice for All...
Wonder If our children are taught such about taking Pride and Honor in their Country...
As I gazed at that old torn weather tattered flag, I wondered would anyone else feel I did at that moment...
Sadden, that the Flag that stood for so many things and the sacrifices of so many life, was now so neglected...
Does all those wind torn neglected Flags represent how America is loosing Her Honor and Respect Among the Nations of the World?
Or does it reflect, a nation that has grown to Lazy to show the world we still have that Spirit of Freedom?
What are we really Loosing....?
If Americans cant rally behind the Symbol of our Freedom, our hope for Liberty and Justice..
Then how can we ever Hope to achieve those Goals we were taught as Children..that this Grand Old Flag stand For..
I've always been Proud to be An American..
That pride has been stepped on and kicked down a lot lately, since it seems our Government has it hands so full keeping the rest of the world ... that we suffer here at home without any real solution in sight..
Those solutions would be more in manufacturing jobs, keeping America's Integrity... Intact...
That tangled old worn Flag, it made me feel kinda sad..
like I was seeing an old friend being neglected and abused.. it reminded me of the Homeless , the Jobless.
The constant bickering in Washington, the constant lame duck policies that benifit only Banks, Insurance companies, and special interest Groups...
Then the blame of social services for the ever increasing National debt...
Yeah.. my mind kind of screams at the lack of a balance in our elected officials to put American Citizens ahead of themselves...
it still my Country Too... She's my Grand old Flag.. I'm still Proud of what That Flag once Represented... and I hope with All MY Heart... some day reall soon...
The American People... will stand up and Declare Enough...
Fix this mess... Cut your salaries... no more free rides..
Find that middle ground and work together to mend the torn weather beaten America..
Teach our children to be Proud of being American Citizens..that hope for Unity and Freedom...
well yeah.. I get carried away.. cause I love my Country.. I truly believe, we need to pratice more pride in Her..
Take them flags in at night.. keep them out of the rain..show respect for the symbol of Freedom and Liberty.

THINGS HAS CHANGED SOO MUCH IN EVERYTHING ....SO SAD THE CHILDREN NOW WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT PEACE WE HAD GROWING UP..
