Amazing!

Went to the pulmonary doctor yesterday.  I had pulmonary function tests.  My FEV1 was 38%.  I still can't believe it.  Prior to the research study that I participated in my FEV1s ranged from 32%-39%.  That was over a 2 year or so span.  Started the study in November at 32%.  Dropped steadily to 27% early February.  Stopped the study about a month ago.  I went back to my med regimen as prior.  Dulera instead of Symbicort.  I also stopped the study drug - Daliresp or placebo.  I lost a lot of weight and got into a severe depression.  Both can be side effects of Daliresp.  Got the weight to a healthy point.  Not sure if it is stopping the study drug or starting the antidepressant I began.  Anyway...
Doctor things there may be an asthma component to my symptoms.  Going tomorrow for allergy tests and to meet the asthma doc.  CT scan next week.  Going to Duke for a second opinion May 31rst.
I am so hopeful!  Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.  May I do the same for you!
