T isn't using drugs, I don't think. He may have slipped and drank with his ol' time drug using "friend" (who makes me sick to my stomach) and if he did - nothing indicates that he's headed that way or has done anything recently. Meeting with his PO (who I really like), his caseworker and counselor was extremely helpful for T. It was obvious that his head was clear and he could see that these people are there to help him - not to try and catch him doing something wrong. T felt better after that meeting, I could tell. In fact, last night hubby and I went to a local art center (where I teach) to listen to a free outdoor concert. The atmoshere, the music, and running into friends up there was a perfect formula. So much so we almost forgot about T calling and checking in with us. We came home about 10:30 last night to find T home. I asked why he was home so soon and he reminded me, because he was a half hour late one night and 15 min. the next, that I moved his curfew up for that night! I am happy for him. I know he's struggling - constantly (especially during these summer evenings) but he's doing it. Obviously, I hope it continues and that he up his AA meetings like he's supposed to.
