Am I Really A High Strung Person?
Going through my Journals, I came across something I wrote when I was 22. It was about how I felt when a guy kissed me. Now the reason why I find this particular piece interesting was because my therapist told me that I am a high strung person. Anyways this is how it went.Never felt something like that before. It was so scary I don't think I'm ever gonna try that again as long as I live. He came closer to me, reassuring me that he will be gentle as much as possible. My heart raced, I started sweating and in no time I was sent into space. However something happened. I found myself breathing way too hard, felt as if I was holding my breath for too long and now I'm gasping for it. He was so caught up in the moment that when I was going down he followed my lips, attempting to suck the rest of the life force from me when he suddenly realized I was in trouble. All I could make out was his voice calling out to me in a panic tone. I don't remember much after that.
Now after this I was told that I had fainted. At the time I never considered it serious but now that I'm dealing with this, I'm seriously wondering if it was a sign that something was wrong with me so to speak. Looking back I realized that this is a very high strung person.

What you have just described sounds pretty normal to me. And even the fainting part does, because I faint often!...Or maybe I am a high strung person too, actually I probably am. But anyway, my fist kiss felt like sucking on a dead fish. I think I brushed my teeth like 20 million times afterwards, thus starting my anxiety over questions of why I found it so disgusting and revolting.
Wish I felt what you felt. To me what I felt was more embarrassing and pathetic now that I am looking back at it. But I\'m glad I\'m no longer than person, well not by choice anyway at the moment.
