Am I being overcomed, or just giving in?
I just wrote this as a reply in the "the fibro puzzle" and I thought I would go ahead and paste it here too for my first journal entry.
When I was younger this "fog" as you call it came and went. There were times I could function normally and thought that the problem was gone only to face it again. It drove me CRAZY because I could not accomplish, do and be what I wanted to. Back then and over the years I became very unsure of my self and did not get involved in many activities and even withdrew from some just because of the embarrassment of it. Also maybe a little pride was involved in it all being a MAN who wants to stand on his on two feet like other MEN who can.
Now the fog is so bad that it is really becoming debilitating. I am being truthful here, I can’t tell whether it’s getting worse on it’s own or am I giving into it because I don’t want to fight it anymore. I think the truth is, it is actually both.

Sure know how you feel. I have a close friend who has made plans with me for three different times that we planned to get together. The first one, I went to the wrong movie house, she was across town. The second time, I showed up late for my own birthday party. The last time, I got all ready to go out with her--One day too early!
I was working for my church newspaper and had so many word search problems. I would stammer and try to describe the word I was trying to find to my customers over the phone. Some could figure out what I was going for and others just got quiet while I made a perfect fool out of myself. I got so bad that I actually had myself tested for Alzheimer\'s. Didn\'t have it. But I get so frustrated some days, I just give up on talking altogether. Sure do know what you are talking about.

Randy, understand about the fog. When I was younger i just thought i was stupid, sometimes it takes me 10 to 15 to get a thought out but on good days i am pretty sharp person with a great sence of humor. I too have a harder time with the fog since i now also have graves, when my levels are bad i cant put two words together it is very embarssing.( not sure about my spelling today) any way hang in there, I was looking at your photos and saw your pic of the bowls you have made, they are so pretty, you are blessed to have such a talent. Do you make them just for yourself or do you sell them on the web.
Fibro can have a strong link to depression too. I had many different causes for fibro fog. Like food and chemical sensitivity, depression and sleep apnea.
