alone today
There is something i cant do anything about, my husbands job. I know he doesn't want to go to work any more. But i cant really help him. He hates going into a run down city. The co workers bring him down. And I tell him i love him, but it feels like he is rejecting it. When he leaves for work, i in tell him to have a good day, but it just feels like he is pushing that away along me with it. Our aniversary was nice, he does have some love for me, but lately to tired to show it. We cant really connect. Even when I try to hug him, its like hes not responding. There isnt, or hasnt been any real closness betwween us in weeks, its either he goes to bed early, or theboys are home he says. I just dont know how to get close to him. And its been awhile sence he has aproached me. No intamacy. I wonder if he has low testosterone. And my hormones have changed too. He is 55 an I am 50. Yes, both our bodys have changed. And I am afraid to talk to him about it anymore. I tried last month, but he clamed up. I dont know?
And going to church together never happens. I feel it is a battle for him with that too. Its as if his emotions of love want to shut down. I wish i could help him. And do i pray! God is the only one that can help him, i I've cant , he wont let me in, or he says I dont understand. But i do hear everything he says. Its hard.

I really can\'t think of much to say, at least not now.
Working in a job that he hates, in an environment he hates, in a part of the city that he hates, all that can really bring him down.
Perhaps wishing him a good day is counterproductive emotionally. He most likely is gearing up for a terrible day and your wishes may be too much in contrast with what he believes is in store for him.
Us guys tend to avoid in depth discussions about feelings, mostly we prefer to get it said quickly and move on. But just because that is the typical guy thing does not mean that is how your DH feels.
Open ended questions may be a better way to go. Something like \'What can we do to make your employment less stressful.\'
The best thing you can do for him is work on making yourself enjoy your days.
