Almost there

Good Morning SOTH,

There are 2 more full days of school with 4 minimum days left of students for this year. YAY! My last day will be June 9th. That week-end I will have Hunter for the week-end which I'm already planning something fun to do to celebrate!!

Last week-end Jim & I went to Laughlin for the week-end. Ever have one of those week-ends that you just don't click? Well, this was the week-end....my attitude could have been adjusted but that didn't happen so consequently it was not a good time for all. LOL

We left Monday to come home - Jim and I usually will have driven separately, mainly because Jim usually stays longer than I want to or I have to go back to work but this time, I drove with him and the 2 dogs in my car.....I usually leave early to avoid traffic and enjoy the rest of the holiday, he usually leaves late, not worrying about traffic or anything else for that matter so we left @ 11 AM...well, a 3 1/2 hr drive home was 7 HOURS......Traffic was horrendous and in the car with 2 dogs and a husband was almost unbearable...did I mention my ATTITUDE? URGH.....Then when we get home, he says, What's for dinner? - WHAT????

It's Del Taco tonite which I went and got.....sorry for the rant.......Yesterday I was exhausted @ work, today is a BETTER DAY!!

Okay, so on to better things today....So looking forward to the retreat..... HUGS

The finish line is close at hand! Yippee, Yahoo! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time with Hunter and it's always such fun to plan some events.

Sometimes we're just oil and vinegar when it comes to our spouses and no matter how hard we shake and roll there's just no blending. I'm one who likes to leave early too and try to beat the rush. "What's for dinner?" LOL! I would have said, "Your arms and hands aren't are painted on, what were you planning on making?" LOL!!!!!!! Hope you had a good laugh when he said that and truly, for me, humor is what keeps me going and our family as well. Gotta laugh at these man creatures and at ourselves as well. :)

Thinking of you dearest Vicki and your Jennifer and YOU are almost there!

Hugs and love,
XO Joanie

Oh my goodness. I hear you! It is enough to have a husband in the car, let alone 2 dogs!! LOL
We are headed out in an hour or so on a 3 hour drive to a friend's daughter's graduation.
As Joanie said, sometimes spouses are like oil and water, and when you are worn out, it just makes matters worse. Joe used to try to tease me out of my grumps. The worst thing he could do - he now knows the 'look' and shuts up!!
So glad you are having a better day and school is almost out!!
Tight hugs, M

Leave it to our Joanie to come up with the perfect analogy. I love it! Oil and vinegar, so true, as much as we love them and our times together, sometimes it just does not mesh. Sigh. We are still adjusting to retirement at our house and I found the attitude adjustment often a reality for me as well. Just this morning on our walk, I had to put my attitude through the wringer, so I said a little prayer and things got a bit better - but sometimes I just can't help myself! Lol. (And it seems to get worse as I get older...). Anyway you are in the final days of the school year. Yay. I hope you have a grand weekend with that grandson of yours. Sending much love...

Vicki, I bet you are so ready for a little R and R after a hectic school year! But sometimes the hubby doesn't contribute at all to rest & relaxation but instead provide the angst and anger, lol. What's for dinner - bless his blissfully unaware heart. SMH!

You gotta laugh! :)

Well, I don't have a comment on the husband (divorced that, twice!) or the dogs, as I would love to have another but don't right now, I am super envious of your count down however, my contribution to your great journal is I LOVE DEL TACO!!!
Really great hugs,
