Almost one month on Straterra
So the psychiatrist recommended..I was skeptical at first because I have this mentality that I shouldn't need medication to function but hey, why not right? It HAS to be better than crying all day long...
He wanted to ease me into it so for 5 days I took 20mg, then I switched to 40 for 5 days, I just finished 60mg (5 days as well) and tomorrow I begin his recommended final dose of 80mg..
He said this should help with my anxiety and attention problems..I never really thought I had attention issues until he asked me a series of questions and there were a lot I could relate to. At the end of the questions, however he did not explain to me the results (whether it was ADD, ADHD etc..) But I figured I'd give it a try
He also recommended watching books from Sydney Banks, who had helped him through 20 years of depression after his first wife passed away..I was skeptical but I enjoyed them!
Only downfall of this medicine is that I'm super sleepy..I might take the 80mg at night..I want to first determine if it's just a side effect that will go away or not..I don't feel 100% but I feel better than I had before..
Here's to giving this one a fair shot..I hope someday I'll be "myself" again..
