Almost Friday!

Good Morning sisters. As I look out my office window, the sun is shining with just a few puffy white clouds moving about, I'm thinking of all of you! It has been a good week (minimum days for students) so the afternoons have been quiet but productive without all those interruptions! I'm thankful for my job.

I loved hearing about the retreat....sad that I wasn't able to go afterall but there's always next year, right? I'm hopeful it will work out for me - meeting all of you will truly be icing on my cake! The planting of the tree and all those rocks surrounding it, is so beautiful!

Hunter is doing well - I was with him last Saturday. He is really maturing, but boy does he look like his mama...sigh! He was going with friends to Knotts Scary Farm last Saturday night so my time was limited with him, but it's always a bright spot in my day! :) I had a dream the other night and Jennifer was in that dream....I woke up so relaxed and happy that I saw that face and felt her here. I had read some texts between her & I on her phone prior to me going to bed which sometimes gives me comfort....I believe in me reading those texts, I was open to her coming to me in a dream.... it was awesome to see and hear her.....I don't need to tell you all that I so miss her....

Work is good - everyone is talking about the "holidays" - urgh......After Halloween, time passes so quickly with so many holidays following. Praying for us all, as those "holidays" are never the same for me without my Jennifer. A funny story about a student happened the other day - this student came in complaining of a headache due to mom putting gel in his hair for picture day. When I told mom - she said "oh no he didn't say that!" - She told me that she did put gel in his hair, however when she left him in the bathroom, he began spraying "AXE" hair spray on his head - so much so that she began coughing......she said I hate that AXE stuff, it's so overpowering.....She was laughing the whole time she was telling me - I told her, maybe it's a blessing in disguise, AXE causes headaches.....maybe he won't be using that again!!! LOL Kids are so funny sometimes!

Well, I've got things to do this morning, even though I certainly would love to chat with you all more. Take good care of yourselves and I'm always standing with you on this journey!  (((((hugs))))) Vicki

It is great to hear from you! I hope Hunter enjoys Knotts Scary Farm.
It is sure hard when a child is no longer with us - especially during the holidays.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Seattle next year!

Hi Vicki, so happy to hear that you had a dream/visit from Jennifer. What a gift!!

Ahhh, grandchildren are amazing. Eddie had two kids; a boy and a girl. They are adults now. His son Josh looks and sounds just like him and his daughter Christina is very much his temperament. He is my only child so I have deep gratitude that he had children. My heart goes out to all the moms, but the moms who only had one child or had more than one child pass away and did not have any children have an additional layer of grief.
It's good to have your Hunter in your life, isn't it?
Part of Jennifer. ♡

Those dreams/visits are certainly something aren't they? Grateful for them when they come that's for sure.

Oh, that Hunter does look like his mom and they get so busy as teens. I remember Mr. LJ's parents wondering when they would see Douglas and Sarah when they hit those years as they had jobs and a social life that kept them on the go.

Hope your Friday is a gentle one and always lovely to hear from our sisters of the heart. Seattle is a lot closer to you and it is for me as well so I'm putting it out there and hopeful as the retreats are really wonderful.

Much love sweet Vicki and remembering your Jennifer with you,
XO Joanie

My grandkids are my little heartmenders...if not for them, I sometimes wonder if my heart would ever feel "large" again.
I love the visits--sure hate the waking up.
Gentle care,
Ann
