almost four years

Its hard to belive that it will be four years since my son David passed away I miss him I wonder everyday what he would have grown up to be,  I feel resentment to God how could a loving God let so much pain in this world.  Will this ever get any easier I wish everyday that he was back.

I cannot say that I understand how you feel. I do know that holding resentment to God is only harboring bitterness and in the end, only hurts you. Bitterness is an emotional cancer that will eat you from the inside out. I am so sorry to hear how much you are hurting. ((HUGS!!!))

Mysteryman:

Nor can I say I know how you feel...I can only imagine the pain of loss. Recently, I heard a question asked of Eckhart Tolle about dealing with grief. He said, having just lost both his parents (which I know is different, but in the ballpark, I think) to allow the grief. To stay present with the grief. By fighting it it becomes stronger. And by moving into our head with it it also becomes stronger.

He said he cried and that his grief came in waves. And each time it came he let it be. I think it\'s something about acceptance and for him, realizing how impermanent and temporary all our lives are.

I have known loss and grief, but not of my child--for me, my only child. If that were to happen though I can\'t imagine I would blame God; God is my main comfort, though there was a time when I was angry at God for the incest and abuse.

Mysteryman, I hope your heart heals.
