Almost comical......
Not really but ......... what can I do? J doesn't need surgery on his knee. If he follows the physical therapy regimen and does what he's supposed to do than maybe all he'll need to do is wear a brace. That, however, will have to be on hold because he will need to have surgery on his other tonsil on Monday! Unreal. He's such a train wreck. Band aid on his head because of the deep cut he got (along with ~ what he said ~ a concussion), his bum knee and back to his throat. The good news in all of this he seems to be doing very well mentally. I am okay about it too. Not happy about it, of course, but it is what it is.....
Hubby went for his heart stress test. He said that they had him running on the treadmill because they couldn't get his heart rate up enough. Thankfully, because he stays active playing tennis and reffing ~ he's in good shape in other areas. In fact, when he went for his stress test ~ his blood pressure was lower. He needs to find out if he still needs to take the medication. He's cut way back on coffee (like he did at one time but slipped back into old habits) and cut back on drinking. His diet has been pretty good but the holidays did us both in. Not sure about him taking the Xanax for his panic attacks but when he needs them ~ he has them just in case.

That\'s great news that J doesn\'t need surgery on his knee. The tonsil surgery has a much quicker recovery time. I\'m so relieved about your husband. When I heard his symptoms I was a little concerned about his heart. Good luck to everyone!
Xanax is a good help for panic attacks. I was first prescribed that in 2001 when I had my first attack. I am very judicious about when I use them; don\'t want to get habituated, but they are very useful at the times I need them. Caution is the name of the game with that stuff, and respect for the drug.
As for J: he\'s amazing and young and all this will be behind him in a few months. I do hope the throat thing goes away. Or: maybe all this will serve as a wake-up call for him? Maybe? Alcohol use and poor immune function go together; don\'t know if he knows that.
our son had lunch with Husb. today: he said he spent his Ikea card \'wisely\' and is anxious for us to come see his place and new furniture... I guess he was in real good form today. Ya know how sometimes things seem to be going so well, there\'s that nervous feeling the other shoe will fall? Of course, I am borrowing trouble.
Faith. Faith for us all.....
