Alligator Allie, and a little more

Little Miss Allie is a monster.  She likes to bite and chew on things, people in particular.  I try to break her (she understands "No!"), and Tim taunts her and encourages her.  I have scabs all over my arms, one on my foot and one on my ribs where Allie has chomped down on me.  She has that Boxer death grip with those jaws of hers and very sharp puppy teeth!  We've had shoe trouble, sock trouble, Christmas tree trouble, furniture trouble ......  she follows Bum Bum and tried to chomp on his tail.  I have gotten her several toys, but her favorite things are still Tim and me.  She is a real people puppy.  She loves attention.  Lizzie (Aka Queen Elizabeth III) is so jealous she can't see straight.  Allie barks at Lizzie and Amos a lot.  Allie is smart and stubborn...... what a combination!
I put Christmas lights on a 7" cedar tree in the yard all by myself,  Yayyyy!  The next day, I put lights around the porch railing!   I went to visit my daughter on her birthday (Dec. 8) and took Miss Allie with me.  Have any of you ever tried to drive 35 miles, one way, with a puppy in the car?  I had to pull over and stop 4 times on the way there.  Whew!  Jazz the bird tried to give Allie kisses and scared the living daylight savings out of her.  At least Rachel's Parker puppy and Levi wore Allie out - she slept all the way home!   We had Christmas dinner at church Sunday, so I made some food for that  on Saturday - broccoli salad and ginger-vanilla carrots. Ugh.  Tim did the dishes.
Timhas been doing a temp job working under our son-in-law on and off, mostly on, since July.  Our sil is the computer tech guy for the city of Hopkinsville.  The city has been putting in new computer systems and wiring.  Our sil asked Tim if he would do the wiring.  Tim has been doing the job it normally takes two men to do, and Tim is doing the work in less than half the time.  Our sil knew that would happen, which is why he wanted Tim to do it.  Tim met the mayor Friday and the supervisor bragged on Tim.  They have already asked Tim if he would do some work for them periodically next year and they have allotted funding to pay him.
We are still going to the same church and I still hate it.  But, the man who saw my rattlesnake skin and took the skin from my copperhead still raves about my shooting abilities to all of the other men.  I get a real kick out of that, maybe even a little ego boost!  A few men think it's just grand that I "shoot like a man", a few stare in shock, and a few scowl and walk away.  All three versions give me some degree of satisfaction.
Between lights and puppies and "stuff", I crashed for a couple of days.  But, I went Christmas shopping today.  I'm exhausted.  My legs are killing me - I'm going to have to have pain killers to sleep tonight.  I bought deli food for supper because I knew I wouldn't be able to cook tonight.  Tim didn't complain.  We both know that I am doing better, but I still crash.  He is beginning to see that even though I am better, I can only push myself so far.  Now, if I could just figure out how far .........

Your naughty little puppy sounds so adorable! I love when the little guys are full of so much spunk, even if their sharp little teeth can hurt like crazy. I\'m sure your attempts to break her of the habit of chewing and biting is made more difficult by Tim egging her on! My husband and I definitely have different views on how to \"raise\" the dogs. Thankfully we were in pretty good agreement on how to raise our kids :-). It\'s good to know that Tim is getting such positive feedback about his temp job - he sounds like a talented, hardworking guy. Is he still studying to be a pastor? I\'m wondering how much time he is spending still pursuing something you are not totally in agreement on. Maybe if you win over the respect of the men in the church with your shooting skills, they will all come to their senses on the equality of women!!!! I hope your legs are feeling better and you are getting rested up from your Christmas shopping. I don\'t know what the weather is like in KY, but it has been so mild up here that I have been able to pace myself with holiday preparations because i don\'t have to take the weather into account. I can\'t believe Christmas is right around the corner.
