all that has been on my mind
I have been diagnosed with Ataxia resulting from ms and also, the car accident that diagnosed me gave me a traumatic brain injury. I slur my words sometimes and stutter too. I never have been a dancer, so I won't miss that, but I sing like a bird. I was the choir president my senior year in High School and four year varsity letterman in choir. I could list achievement upon achievement for choir, the list is endless(except for one, you can't win em all). I used to be a kareoke dj. I have not sang a song in a year and a half. I have not had a drink in longer than that, but an old friend of mine is a bartender at a kareoke bar. I should go and see him. Some other friends of mine are in a band and I should ask them if they can take me and I can buy them a couple drinks. At their wedding, I took better pictures than the photogapher that they paid. They are good friends.

It\'s the worst when the cognitive issues start setting in... HUGS But try to concentrate not on what you can\'t do but what you still can. If you focus on everything you\'re losing you\'ll always be a prisoner of your MS...not to mention missing out on any gains...because at the very least this disease slows us down and deepens our appreciation of the little things...
Hang in there! Maybe you can still sing...I did a lot of choral training myself and still hold on to my voice--even though I can no longer remember any lyrics at the drop of a hat or do the trickier verses (stuttering, slurring, etc) But you can always hum those parts! ;)
