All Chores Done - let the festivities begin...

Ok, all gifts money envelopes, cookies, clementines bought, baked wrapped - Done.   So tomorrow night I will be going to cuz Kathy's on Long Island, for dirty martinis, a chair by her fireplace with Desi, my love, on my lap.  Katie, Kathy' daughter will play the piano and sing for us.  Its so nice to share with her family they make me feel special. Then Sunday to  Church.  Katie is the Choir Director, so I am so excited to see the little ones.  I so enjoy Kathy's congregation.  They honor three religions this time of year.  The story of lights, the child and three kings and the winter soltice.  Its all  meaningful for me.  We get to decorate the Mitten Tree with new gloves and socks for the needy.  Hear the stories told by the children of the Hanakah lights and of the savior child born in the stable.  Also we honor our ancestors who knew the secrets of Turn, Turn Turn.  OH, TIS' THE SEASON. I have a choice today and I choose the light! Life is Good Ree

Sounds wonderful. How\'s the weather in Long Island? I\'m visiting my daughter in So. California and is unusually cold and rainy, with short visits from the sun.
