All Aboard

I heard about and organized a family adventure today. Got my nephew, his wife, their 2 kids, Jaxon (3) and Addi (10), my sis and stbx and I all together for a train ride at a nearby historical railroad station  that has occasional activities.  Jaxon was tickled to death with his very first train ride and chance to meet the Easter Bunny (and Peeps)   The weather was perfect and was nice to make another family memory with them as they are not as many as I would like.

I did have another reminder (and eye opener) though.  My brother in law was to come too. he and my sis did have another big argument the other night.   Turns out he left and did not come back.  The 2 of them are also very miserable, but not gonna leave.   This did serve as a reminder of how miserable so  many I do know who are stuck and unable to get  back on track.(and still choose to remain together)

Yet I still want to break free and be on  my 0wn again.  (Must be crazy since SO MANY others  are trying to make sense and stay put? )

But for today... we did all get together and have another good family memory  (something that is few and far between these days because all of us are too busy)  And not only did Jaxon get to high 5 the Bunny and Peeps, he got that first rain ride with those who love him bunches. (Addi too)

Isn't that what it is all about? Spending time with those we love?

Happy Easter to all and your families.

that sounds wonderful and a positive experience for family to enjoy....sorry things are rough with relationships within your family.....seems today parents saying that they hope their kids stay married much more than saying that they hope their kids get married....(I stole that quote from an email I got this morning from Mountianwings.com) LOL but think it was important to quote it since it seems appropriate here today....

My friend in SD has a historical train she goes on every once in while it is a old steam train I think and it goes thru the black hills portion of SD.....It has been forever since I rode a real train....metrolink trains do not count as a real train but Amtrak is a train I have ridden but the last train I rode was in Thailand.....we road a train for a couple hour train ride thru countryside....I think it went right along Burma boarder.....was in 1999 I rode that train and it was awesome fun....was with my platonic friend since junior high and her then husband who was in Air force stationed in Okinawa Japan back then....

Nice way to spend a day, just living in the moment and appreciating simple pleasures. I’m glad you had that!

I don't know why, but I am seeing your posts several months after you post them. It's July 6 already, but I'm glad you had such a nice Easter event. I hope by now you have enjoyed some other events as well.
