Place a Barrier 

Placing a barrier near the base of the HVAC unit can have several advantages that will keep it in good condition. Large, flat rocks are some of the best things to use. They will keep dirt, debris, and small glass clippings from getting into the coils of the system. Placing a barrier will also keep water from building up when it rains.

Keep Shrubbery from the Unit
