Ain't that GRAND! NOT!

Well, wouldn't you know it, I ended up at the Dr's after fighting forever NOT TO GO! Yeah, never said I was bright, but I've admitted to being stubborn.

ANYWAY, with the horrible tragedy that struck at the Upper Big Branch coal mine where 29 miners died, it set off and I suppose that I'd suffered with it before, but not to this degree.  http://www.dailymirror.lk/index.php/world/us/3045-four-missing-west-virginia-miners-are-found-dead.html

Apparently, it has triggered a massive episode of PTSD.  At least I know what I am dealing with and understand where/why the emotions are so erratic.  Yes, there's a "lovely little pill" to "help" me. ROFLOL  Isn't there always? LOL  OF COURSE!

So, I am now back to day one of dealing with my dad's death (coal mines), my grandpa's death (heart attack) and my grandma's death (heart failure).  It is like an unending flash of movie that hits from time to time followed by chest pains, rapid breathing and an overwhelming sense of multiple/mixed emotions.

So, that's it, peeps.  Lovely "new little pills" to add to the other "little pills" and waiting for this episode to pass.  They can't tell me when it will go away but I was told it will likely recur when anything could set it off.  Most likely, the coal industry will be my "trigger".  Living in WV coal mines are as prevalent as a loaf of bread.  So, I pray, leaving it all in God's hands and knowing that Jesus came to heal the broken hearted.

Love & hugs my peeps.

I am so sorry to hear you are having PTSD, I wondered when all the coalmine accident information was n TV how it would affect you. Never realized that you hd miners in your family. I am sure it really hits close to home whenever you hear about it. It is so sad, that is for sure. Know you are in my prayers, and keep taking that little pill till you get through this episode.

Sweetie, there is coal in my blood so thick it could be mined. I actually at one time considered going under-ground myself and mom freaked asking if I were crazy.

Today, at Peebles while ordering my son\'s tux for the prom, they have a Carhart poster up showing coal miners setting posts. I actually almost threw up at the sight yet I was so drawn to get closer to the poster to examine it. Odd isn\'t it? My dad when he was killed was setting posts. Maybe that was it....seeing his actual job poster size... Who knows? Thank God I didn\'t become ill and start crying like a blithering idiot in public. This PTSD is evidently pretty wicked stuff.

HOWEVER, I am home now, I have a rubbing I made of my dad\'s headstone that I made during all this and I am free to let the tears flow, be the 15 yr old who just lost her \"daddy\" and not worry what others think.

Hugs & much love.....ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, I emailed every State government official I could locate, including the Governor, with my idea of safer mining practices. Hope that they at least consider it.

Again, hugs & much love.....

Being proactive is the best thing you can do. Doing something like a letter writing campaign, making people aware can sure speed up the process. They told me I had PTSD after my daughter almost died from whooping cough as a baby, she had many episode where she would stop breathing. By the time she was well 18 months later, I had quit sleeping entirely, Not quite the same thing but I do get the panic, the fear , the pain at least a little.
Just one more thing for the Lord touse for His Glory when you conquer this, Amen?

True, all things God uses for His good and His glory. At least I can understand for those who come to me for counseling regarding this. I did email every State government person regarding my new safety ideas. They may think I\'m nuts but at least I feel like I did something that may be used and may be very valuable. Sometimes, the \"great minds\" don\'t think/see the obvious.....HUGS & LOVE
