Ah sacred dawn

It's 6:30 am on another morning/night that I'm staying up all night. Since I broke up with my boyfriend this has become a routine. Hell, i was staying up all night during the week when we were together and just straightening out my sleep schedule for the weekends to sleep normal hours with him. Now that I'm on my own i can do whatever I want. I like that.
I really believe that breaking up with my boyfriend was the right choice. I feel so much better now. I have my freedom and independence back. Now that i see all the ways that that relationship could have gone I understand that this is for the best.
Luckily he didn't stop by to drop off the stuff yesterday morning like he was supposed to. Instead he texted me that he would have to leave it in his mailbox for me to pick up. Then he left me a weird sketchy message saying he hadn't slept and that was why. I hadn't slept either, perhaps we were both equally nervous about seeing each other again.
I'm about to begin the dawn yoga and meditation that I do every night that I stay up all night. I feel like this is the best thing I can do to take care of myself and nurture myself in this difficult time. Yoga and meditation aways makes me feel much better. More spiritually connected.
Later today I will finally pick up that package, pick up some prescriptions, and go to therapy. All in a days work of managing a chronic illness. That's what I do.
