Again with the dog

Just before Thanksgiving I found a new home for the dog. The family made all kinds of promises, like they would take her to a vet, give her a good home, etc., none of which they are keeping. They tried to take the dog to their local shelter, who would not accept her, and she called and spoke to my brother, angry, tellling me that I have to come and take the dog back to the shelter I got her at. I am the one that should be angry - she made promises she didn't keep, bugged me for a month about every little issue with the dog, and tried to take her to the shelter without letting me know. I should have just brought her back to the shelter in the first place. All this trouble, and I could have done months ago. I called the shelter, explained the situation, and they have agreed to accept the dog back without payment so that they can find a promer home for her, as well as getting her vetted. Good grief - the trouble that this has been. Never, never again. I will never trust Craigslist, or get a dog again during my lifetime. Never! So, all I have to do now is deal with this IDIOT, get the dog back and bring her down to the shelter and return her. Good luck to me.
