After surgery update

The dual surgery of heel cord & hamstring lengthening has really changed how my son walks.  He was fortunate to have a pool to swim most every day after the initial week of surgery.  He has amazed his PTs in that he walks well, just need to get him to rebuild all the muscles instead of just the walking ones in his right leg.  We do stretches, e-stim, exercises, ride bikes on the driveway and ice skate.  Hockey started 4 weeks ago for the winter season (took fall off because he didn't want to miss any time @ the camper during antique engine shows) and his attention span has expanded, as has his drive to chase the puck and try using 2 hands on the hockey stick.  We keep on him about using "Mr. Righty" because he/we do not want him to grow as evenly as possible.  We have always expected him to do what everyone else can do.  He is coming along really well in school (1st grade), especially since his teacher told him in front of me that she is "very proud" of his accomplishments and to continue ready well and often.  He really loves school, thankfully.
