after surgery and going back to work

Well ,
Its hard to believe its 2 weeks post op for Dennis and I went back to work this week. I was off for a month ! I was able to take a leave and use my banked sick pay . Dennis will be off until next Wednesday and also returning to work and our routines. I have to say , returning to our routines is a welcoming in comparison to the last 30 days. Dennis say his surgeon Monday where he reviewed the pathology and follow up. The tumor was larger than suggested just 6cm . The final report was stage one renal carcinoma clear cell with cystic changes. Dr. said the Cycstic changes made the prognosis more favorable. All other margins were clear so no other treatment is needed. He will be scanned every 6 months for 2 years then yearly.
Back to me , I was glad to get back to work  and find myself sitting here feeling tired as I surely overworked this week to get caught up. I am really enjoying my tiredness and routine.
I believe this changes us, the next time I hear of someone at work or around the neighborhood who may be ill or gets the C-word. I will just drop off a batch of cookies , mow the lawn or just stop and ask how they are. We had so many people who were so loving , funny and just darn good company at a time when your lost for words.
Wishing all of you a good day , where you can just feel good with all that is going on around you . Love to all , Gail

Glad glad glad to hear the good report.
Normal, as someone here once said, is a very under-rated lifestyle, and until s\'th like this happens, I just don\'t think we appreciate it enough. Enjoy!!
Wishing you many golden days together
Meriel
