After Surgery

Today is Blue Monday, it is raining, and cold.  I am in my 6th day of clear liquids.  It seems to get harder and harder to do.  I have cravings to chew on something or at least taste some regular food.  I have to keep talking to myself and trying to keep busy with something useful.  Everyday is a challenge.  I have to keep reminding myself of the results.

Today was the Annual Christmas party at my job hosted by Rhonda Flemming, and one of the women that comes to the shelter with her is a lady named Eve. I just found out that Eve is 90 years old, and seems/acts like a woman in her fifties! She looks great and has lots of energy...so are 70....you have made the decision to have a life filled with energy, feeling and looking great!! i\'m so excited for you! ~tine

my gbs was 4/16/09 so i am in my third day of clear/full liquids a little bored with it already but determined to stick it out. not really hungry have to remind myself to drink something every few minutes. i kind of rushed my surgery because i had heard that the cutoff age was 64. now here you are and there is a member of my local support group who had gbs when she was 72 and lost 240lbs and now at 74 is doing great. i know what you mean about wanting to chew something. have thought about chewing and spitting out something.

Hi Pst, you know, your never to old to live a healthier lifestyle and that was my purpose. Not hoping to wear a bikini, just feel better, healthier and do some of the things I always did before. I was also afraid about the cut off age. But the dr told me I was probably healthier than most women my age. My gbs went relatively easy. No pain!!! Had to get used to my new life style. Took a while and just now finally getting to know how much I can eat and what. Have lost 75 lbs. to date and feeling sooooooooooo good. So much more energy, and loving it. Hoping to ride the roller coasters at Magic Mtn. real soon.
