Yes, it does take time. Do you have a counselor or DV advocate that you can talk to? Also, I read another comment in your journal where someone suggested sleeping meds. There are some over-the-counter ones that work, but you may want to talk to your doctor about something stronger. I take Restoril (aka temazepam); it is non-addictive (I\'ve had issues with some that are addictive) and helps me calm down at night enough to get some sleep. Hang in there, girl.
