Affirmation for September 25, 2012: Forgive for the Future

When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future. Bernard Meltzer
Thought of the Day:
People do us wrong. There is always that window to forgive someone, but there are times when we feel that an apology is not enough. An apology cannot go back in time and undo the wrong doing. So what's the point, right?
An apology can, however change the course of your friendship with the person who wronged you. A simple, "I am willing to work with you and fix this issue" can turn the course of your relatioship for the better.

Forgiveness seems so much easier said than done. It is a daily, daily struggle to release that kind of anger. I liken it to losing weight. Once done, you must maintain for the rest of your life!

My distance from everyone created a Hate Fest that I do not know how to fix. It felt like me against them who were in agreement that I had the problem. My reaction was just that - I never solicited anger to them but for the first time in my life - I retaliated with EVERYONE and had no way out but just to \"give it to them all\" so I thought. Now I regret having any concern with what they all talked about - even if was about me and someone I value extremely high. Loyalty seemed to be at stake and I was not going to have nice words with wicked people. Very judgemental - I like to think - protective. However, it is lonely being right. This new veaux threapy uses that line a lot I think it is passive agressive to deminish how you feel if you or someone you care for is being lambassed with just plain o\'ll gossip! I really don\'t miss the drama - I do miss my grandson who they are keeping me from. ??
