Affirmation for September 1, 2010: Relationships

Chains do not hold a marriage together.  It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.- Simone SignoretThought of the day:Today's saying doesn't just apply to marriages, but to any bond between two people. The gorgeous thing about this quote is the metaphor of threads that hold us together as human beings in our relationships. Sometimes, it seems the threads run thin, and that any little thing may make those threads snap. But when we put in the effort and the work to cause those threads to grow, and a beautiful, strong embroidery forms between one person and another, we are reminded that relationships take time to form and strengthen. And the result is lasting friendship and a restored faith in humanity.Have a wonderful day!TeamDS

Thank you! I needed this! Sometimes we have to remember that every person we meet and interact with is a relationship. Sometimes only an acquaintance, sometimes a lot more. I think I\'m going to focus on being more positive with the relationships in my life. :)

I love that metaphor, and the additional inspirational thoughts you share.
