Affirmation for October 2, 2012: Solid Meditation
Well, I was passionately curious about what my body was doing, and when I got the lessons on how to meditate, it seemed really solid to me. It seemed real. Mariel Hemingway
Thought of the Day:
It's easy to kept swept up in the drama and chaos of our lives. There are deadlines, family members to worry about, friends to catch up with, errands to run, and the world to save! We can easily lose ourselves and in a way run over the roses we should have stopped to smell. When the hub-bub slows even for a minute, we feel like shells of people - so exhausted and yet still spinning.
For ten minutes - that's all - take a pause. Sit and meditate. Feel who you are and grasp the world as it is - not a to-do list, phone call, text. Hold yourself as a tangible and present person. The chaos will not leave you as empty this next time.
