Affirmation for November 9, 2010: Get Over It

My religion is 'Get over it,' and I was raised in that religion. That was the religion of my home — my mother saying, 'Everything is copy; everything is material; someday you will think this is funny.' My parents never said, 'Oh you poor thing.' It was work through it, get to the other side, turn it into something. And it worked with me.- Nora Ephron, author and directorThought of the day:Nora Ephron is a screenplay writer, author, and director of several movies you may have heard of, including Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, and Julia & Julia, among others. Her latest book, I Remember Nothing, mainly focuses on failures, and how people cope with them. It's human nature to wallow in the woulda-coulda-shoulda's of failure. While it might seem nice to say, "I failed, but I'm that much closer to success," it hardly feels that way at the time. Take today's affirmation as an attitude inspiration from Nora Ephron-- adopt the "get over it" religion, and begin to truly feel that success is that much closer.Have an onward day!TeamDS
