Affirmation for November 25-29, 2009: On Thanksgiving

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.  ~Meister Eckhart   Thoughts for this Thanksgiving weekend:   This time of year is a great time to make a list of all the things we're grateful for. My list is already long and would be longer if I added the thousands of little gifts I've received this year. In short, I'm grateful for my family's health, great friends, and a sense of purpose each day. Thank you all for being a part of my life.   Have a great weekend!   Doug       Remember, you can also receive DailyStrength updates by following us on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you Doug for the wonderful quote. During a sermon our pastor shared it with us. The reminder was very nice.

This is so true. I am trying to teach this to my children, to say thank you and to be thankful for what we do have. Even though life is hard sometimes we are soooo blessed. If the kids only knew how hard some people really do have it. We have our health, our family and faith in god! That is allot!!

I needed that. Was not abstinent yesterday and almost started the day with guilt and remorse but can be thankful right now for abstinence RIGHT NOW, in this very moment. Also grateful for my husband and loving extended family. Looking forward to doing some step 4 work throughout Advent. Have a wonder-filled day everyone!

Lately it\'s been really hard for me to always be thankful...but I do have so much to appreciate! This site has been a huge blessing. Thank you for your part in making it even better! God Bless!
