Affirmation for November 25, 2015: Music is Healing
I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity.- Billy JoelThought of the Day:
Music has the power to tap deep into our well of emotions. Listening to it can affect our moods, our perceptions, and even generate new behavioral patterns, as its rhythm and pitch affect our limbic system (the brain structures which support a variety of functions including emotion, behavior and long term memory).Sad songs can help us relate to others and the unfortunate situations that so many of us will encounter, while happy songs help us celebrate the greatest moments in life. Musical frequencies can actually train our brains to seek the most effective state for healing. And for many of us, music offers aesthetic and intellectual pleasure and inspiration, all on its own.Don’t forget to utilize the power of music in your healing strategy!TeamDS

I cannot agree more...
Music is the soundtrack to my life.. to everyone\'s life.. from youth to seniority.. we all have music tastes! and music taste is often used as a target for abuse, when it should be embraced!
I have a very eclectic taste... currently im listening to \"the Littlest Hobo\" theme.. before it was Mumford and Sons.. from 15 - 29 it was Marilyn Manson.. I Love the Righteous Brothers, Bruce Springsteen.. up to Rudimental! the song Free actually sums my life up quite perfectly right now...
the moral is.. if it fits! who cares if someone else doesn\'t like it!
it is one of the most difficult things to come between someone and their music! it is the most personal thing to a human being!
Absolutely !
ABBA expresses it best:
Thank you for the music, the songs I\'m singing
Thanks for all the joy they\'re bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say,Thank you for the music
For giving it to me
(to all of us)
