Affirmation for May 7, 2010: Exercise
Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.

Thought of the day:
It's easy to say, but hard to follow: exercise at least 30 minutes a day. What is exercise, exactly? For athletes, exercise is a lifestyle. Their sole job is the upkeep and conditioning of their bodies.
For the rest of us, exercise is something we don't have to do, but we need to do. Lucky for us, it comes in many forms, and there's an exercise for every type of person out there.
Find a nice, idyllic place to take a walk with a loved one for 30 minutes a day. Make it a morning routine. Some of the best conversations come out of walks like this, and it may even help to repair rocky relationships.
For the more active people out there, running or biking can take you to places you'd never thought to explore before, especially places that don't allow cars. Do the research ahead of time, and find local trails or paths to take. With summer upon us on this side of the hemisphere, many people are getting into "beach" shape with strength exercises, in preparation for swimming season. What a great combination of strength and cardio!
If you're having trouble motivating yourself to exercise, recruit a friend to keep you in check, and enjoy the great results together.
Have an ACTIVE day!
