Affirmation for May 6, 2010: Frustration

My recipe for dealing with anger and frustration: set the kitchen timer for twenty minutes, cry, rant, and rave, and at the sound of the bell, simmer down and go about business as usual.
- Phyllis Diller

Thought of the day:
Do you have a recipe for frustration? Some people count to 10. Others chant to themselves, or find their "happy place." :) Sometimes, being able to control frustration is a life and death issue, especially for those with high blood pressure.
Assuming a calm, zen-like demeanor, especially in times where everyone else is in panic-mode, is the challenge for today. You may find that when you find peace amidst the storm, solutions present themselves in moments of clarity.
Have a relaxing day!

Great post! I have all sorts of things I do in order to deal with stress, each situation may warrant something different. Plus if you keep switching it up, it usually stays more effective! thanks for making such a wonderful site!

I used to clean vigorously, but now that I am a mom I cant take the time out to do what I want to do. I now just take one look at my son, laugh, and thank God that he blessed me wtith my son, and thank God that he gave me life. It could always be worse!

sometimes, a good hard crying yourself to sleep is the best. I cried until I feel asleep at nap time and sleep well for a few hours for once.

I used to clean but lately its a very strong hurtful anger. I feel I woke up with the hurtful anger again today and I just dont know what I\'m going to do to get rid of it. It is an interuption during the last couple of days!
