Affirmation for May 3, 2013: Apologies in Relationships

A relationship becomes easier when you realize that you don't have to be the one at fault to be the one who's sorry.- Robert Brault
Thought of the day:
In heated moments, it's easy to forget that while you may not agree with your loved one, you are both still on the same side in terms of wanting to keep the relationship alive and well.
Remembering that you are teammates collaborating to make your relationship stronger-- and not enemies competing to be the one who's "right"-- may help both of you come to a resolution more quickly.
Have a peaceful day!

If one is not at fault - for anything - then why be sorry? This seems like what I hear nearly every marriage from married people: As long as you are the man, and \"Yes, dear\" your way through the relationship, essentially becoming a living doormat, then everything will be fine, or, as the quote puts it, the relationship will be easier. Simply give up all that you desire, and let the bleeding goddess control the relationship.

A correction: \"........what I hear about nearly every marriage from married people........etc.\".
